The 2009 Residential Weekend is being
planned for a return to the Mary MacKillop Place, where
we held a most memorable Residential Weekend in 2007. It is a beautiful
venue in North Sydney — the
perfect spot for TCF to commemorate its 30th anniversary year in New South
Wales.
CANCELLED 5th International Gathering in Argentina in May 6th - 9th 2009
Due to global financial crisis this event has had to be cancelled.
The compassionate friends will gather
again in 2009. Argentina and
Buenos Aires are the venue for
The Compassionate Friends, 5th International
Gathering, which will give us the opportunity
to “continuing building bridges of love without borders” and
commemorate 40 compassionate years since The Compassionate Friend was founded in
Coventry, England by Reverend Dr. Simon Stephens .
This will be an unique commitment to bringing together the bereaved, the
bereavement support of the professionals who work with the bereaved. This will
add to the excitement as bereaved parents from all over the world join the
Gathering.
Buenos Aires, will give us the opportunity to know each other. To exchange
experiences. To talk about our children. To share difficulties and
achievements.

Annual International Children's Memorial Day (ICMD)
International Children's Memorial Day is in January each year and TCF Chapters throughout the world dedicate this day to remember and celebrate the lives of our children. As ICMD falls on different days each year some Chapters have decided to hold a family picnic on the Sunday closest to that date. This enables the opportunity for more families to share in this celebration of our children's lives.
