National Centre for Childhood Grief

A Friend's Place. The National Centre for Childhood Grief provides loving support in a safe place where children grieving a death can share their experience as they learn to live with its impact on their lives.

Bereavement Care

The Bereavement C.A.R.E. Centre was established at Randwick in 1981 and in Lewisham in 1986 by Mal and Dianne McKissock. The Centre's goals are to provide comprehensive and accessible counselling and support services for the terminally ill and their families, and for those recently bereaved (i.e. approximately the first two years after the death of someone with whom they have a significant relationship).

Good Grief

An international organisation, Good Grief assists all members of our community to develop and deliver services in the area of change, loss and grief.

GriefWorks Griefworks BC exists through a partnership between Children's & Women's Health Centers of British Columbia and Canuck Place Children's Hospice.

Mission Statement
Griefworks BC facilitates access to bereavement support when and where it is needed.

Goal Statements
The goals of Griefworks BC are to:
  • Encourage standardized, evidence-based bereavement support.
  • Facilitate access to a structured, coordinated, comprehensive and standardized bereavement program for people in BC.
  • Create community awareness on access to bereavement support.
  • Provide bereavement education, training and support for service providers.
  • Build organizational capacity.

NALAG

NALAG (NSW) Incorporated was founded in 1977 after the Granville train disaster. The main aim is to encourage and promote professional and community education in loss and grief. Since then it has been involved with the establishment of many of the loss and grief support groups throughout Australia. Over 500 professionals and non-professionals form the membership of NALAG NSW
